Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the “Kisan Card” initiative on Monday, aimed at supporting farmers by reducing the role of intermediaries and ensuring direct benefits. The distribution of the cards took place during a ceremony.
The Kisan Card program, she explained, aims to streamline support for farmers by eliminating middlemen. Over 400,000 cards have already been issued to provide subsidies on seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, enhancing direct assistance to the agricultural community.

She also outlined plans to solarize tubewells to help reduce energy costs for farmers.
