Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Green Tractor Scheme for farmers after 12 years in Punjab. Under this scheme, tractors will be provided to farmers through digital balloting. The first three successful farmers to receive tractors are Muhammad Yasin from Okara, Talib Hussain from Chakwal, and Ghulam Akbar from Dera Ghazi Khan.

This scheme offers a subsidy of 1 million rupees on each tractor to 9,500 farmers. Maryam Nawaz also announced that 1,000 green tractors will be provided free of charge to wheat farmers with 25 to 50 acres of land. During the event, the Chief Minister reviewed the features of the tractor and described the experience as enjoyable, reiterating her commitment to modernizing agriculture.
